“Firsts” are always hard 🙂 

And the role of a first time manager has evolved in today’s workplace. From having to manage a multigenerational workforce, to needing to coach a them vs just managing their tasks – the stakes for success are higher than before. Alkem Laboratories (a leading pharmaceutical company) wanted to make sure they were setting their first-time managers up for success in the organization.

Jombay ran a Managerial Development Program for first time managers, at Alkem Laboratories. This program aimed to equip first-time managers with the necessary skills and competencies to excel in their new roles.

Here are some details of the 4 month long first time manager program we ran –

> New-age Competencies for New-age Managers: The program was crafted to develop key competencies essential for managerial success. Participants honed their skills in areas such as Managing Self, Managing People, Managing Performance, and Enabling Growth.

> Master Classes – Jombay conducted a series of 2 Master Classes for participants.

> Self-Paced Digital Learning on Jombay’s iDev Plus app was used to complement the learning in the Master Classes.

> Group Coaching – 2 Group Connect sessions were arranged for participants during the course of their program. 

What set this program apart was the high level of engagement observed among participants. From interactive sessions to active participation on iDev Plus (our platform for continuous learning), participants were fully immersed in the learning experience. This enthusiasm and commitment underscored the program’s effectiveness in driving meaningful change and was seen in the NPS (9) and CSAT(5)  ratings.
