The GRACE Framework:
This is a comprehensive approach to coaching conversations that we deploy in our “Manager as Coach” Program. This framework encompasses key principles that help managers create a coaching environment fostering trust, encouraging open communication, and driving meaningful development. Through it, we discuss relevance and applicability at work and focus on solving real work scenarios through this guiding framework!

GRAVITAS: Establish a commanding presence, exuding confidence and authority while demonstrating humility.

RESPECT: Value diverse perspectives, actively listen without judgment, and honor the contributions of others.

AUTHENTICITY: Be genuine and transparent in communication, fostering trust, and encouraging open and honest dialogue.

CANDOR: Provide honest and direct feedback, addressing both strengths and areas for improvement, in a constructive manner.

EMPATHY: Seek to understand and empathize with others’ experiences, creating a safe and inclusive environment.

The Fishbowl Technique:
The Fishbowl technique enhances communication skills through engaging demonstrations of both ineffective and effective conversations. Participants reflect on observed behaviors and engage in facilitated discussions. Multiple rounds of skill practice allow for practical application and feedback. This technique cultivates a supportive environment for improving conversation skills, fostering understanding and effective communication.

These activities form a crucial part of our “Manager as Coach” program. Through its impact we create managers who are more than just managers – they are coaches. They empower their teams, foster growth, and create a positive work culture. By adopting a coaching mindset, these managers inspire individuals to reach their full potential, set ambitious goals, and overcome challenges.
