Enabling Section Heads at UltraTech

UltraTech Cement is India’s largest manufacturer of cement and a part of Aditya Birla Group. Their Section Heads play an important role in the functioning of the plant and UltraTech wanted to ensure they have a talent pipeline ready from among them to be able to prime them for future roles.

Jombay developed an immersive 9 month long Development Program “Evolve” for Section Heads at UltraTech. Here are some details:

> Custom Development Program – While it’s important for Section Heads to manage safety & ensure production schedule, it’s equally important for them to develop their teams, communicate and influence effectively. The development program took this into account & was built on behaviors necessary to develop Section Heads at UltraTech for future roles. These included – Planning and Prioritization, Honing Quality Mindset, Impactful Conversations & Collaboration, Building High Performance Teams, Influencing for Impact, Managing Change & Innovating.

> Master Classes – Jombay conducted a series of 15 Experiential Master Classes for participants (some virtually & some in person). Participants found the content relevant to their Growth Aspirations & Managerial Needs. We received an industry high feedback of 4.8/5 for these sessions!

> Self-Paced Digital Learning on Jombay’s iDev Plus app was used to complement the learning in the Master Classes. Here we saw high engagement and completion rates of 94%!

> ALP (Action Learning Project) – Engaging methods like the ALP were employed to lay emphasis on assimilating and applying learning. Participants were able to present their final ALP pitch to senior leaders at UltraTech.

> Group Coaching – A series of 5 group coaching sessions were arranged for participants during the course of their 9 month program.

> Pre and Post Survey by Managers – These provided an external perspective & were able to identify and document behavior shifts in the participants.
