The 27 ECHO Personality Assessment is a measure of normal-range personality, attitudes, and organization skills. Personality assessments are widely used in career guidance and employment to match a person’s abilities and personality to a suitable career or role.
When assessing and developing people, it’s important to know what drives them!
27 ECHO Personality Assessment uses a mix of science and insight and has been successfully used by organizations globally. It gives employers a robust foundation for interviews and feedback sessions, and productive conversations. It offers an in-depth understanding of what drives people, and provides insights into role suitability and employee development strategy.
Each trait consists of a set of statements that are presented to the participant. The short statement is followed by response options on a 4 point Likert scale (For example: Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree). Participants are required to select one option out of four. There are no right or wrong answers. Instead, scores are used to determine where the participant stands on the trait continuum.

The 27 ECHO Personality Assessment is based on Cattel’s 16PF and Costa and McCrae’s Big 5 Models of Personality, & Goleman’s concept of Emotional Intelligence
A list of traits is used to effectively measure innate dispositions and are mapped to the following five clusters: Task and Structure, Thought, People and Relationships, Agility, and Self Dynamism.
Our tools come with robust reliability and validity standards and are based on validated scientific theories and practices.
An important technical requirement for a psychometrically sound test is that the measurements obtained from that test should be reliable. This assesses the extent to which variation in test scores reflect true differences between people (on the characteristic being measured) rather than reflecting random measurement error. Reliability coefficients above 0.6 are generally considered acceptable measures of reliability.
Internal consistency measures of reliability assess the extent to which all of the items in a scale are measuring the same underlying construct or trait. One of the most common measures of internal consistency is Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient. Cronbach's Alpha ranges from 0.4 to 0.8 for all Jombay traits.
The internal consistency of the responses was calculated for Jombay post two pilot studies. These were carried out on a population that matched the target audience.
Norm groups are available for 2 levels - middle, and senior. Normed on a sample of 5000+ respondents across different geographies - India, USA, Europe and Southeast Asia (representative sample with different age, gender, job level, occupations)
Jombay is committed to ensuring that its tests are of the highest quality and rigor and developed to be unbiased and culture fair. All items in this assessment use simple language that is easily understandable, are gender neutral, and are comprehensively evaluated during the development process.
