“I am going to write a book about myself!” - said an inspiring, firebrand family friend of ours.
She is part of a family with immense wealth & influence; is married to a man known for his success, work and philanthropy. She candidly admitted that there would be more than enough people in the world to talk about her husband's journey, but no one to talk about HERS. She has had her own journey, own life experiences! She has had her own journey, own life experiences! So she decided that instead of waiting for the world to acknowledge her, she will write her own biography!
How wonderful! Isn’t it?
It is so important for us to take charge of our stories, our careers, and our futures! We can’t afford to wait for someone else to tell our story, to give us credit, or to provide opportunities. We must create our own spaces, tell our own truths, and unapologetically claim our power.
In fact, this idea of being the star of your own story and shaping your future is a recurring theme in our 1000 Women Leaders Programs. Among other mindsets, we teach participants to cultivate a Protagonist Mindset—encouraging women to take charge of their narratives, boldly pursue their aspirations, and excel on their own terms.
I am so excited to meet participants of the next batch of the 1000 Women Leaders Development Program that starts in March 2025! Registrations are now open. Nominate young (2-10 yrs of experience) and mid-career (11-20 yrs of experience) women professionals of your organization to be a part of this journey :)
