I can handle it

“The things I do have increased disproportionately after having children…. child care, household work, the emotional and mental labor of parenting and to top it all - the invisible load of keeping it all together.” - shared a mom friend.

Sounds familiar?

Even after hiring help, the pressure doesn’t go away, because the invisible load of managing it all still falls on women. It’s an endless to-do list. And when the exhaustion sets in? A woman often tells herself to just push through.

Unfortunately, this pattern doesn’t just exist at home - it follows women to work. At work too, we take on more tasks and more emotional labour and we avoid saying no because we don’t want to appear “not nice”. All this, we do without asking for MORE help ourselves.

But real strength isn’t about doing everything alone. At home and at work, it’s about knowing when to ask for help and when to set boundaries.

In the 1000 Women Leaders Programs, we talk about the Warrior Mindset—one where strength comes from setting boundaries, demanding fairness, and choosing not to carry an unfair share. Because leadership doesn’t mean doing it all. It means ensuring the load is shared well.

Registrations for the next cohort of the 1000 Women Leaders Programs are closing soon. And I can’t wait to see our next cohort of women professionals learn how to truly lead like warriors!
